New Ereshkigal Anthology Accepting Submissions

Published by Julian Hill at 10:24 am under Devotionals, Gods and Goddesses Edit This

I’ve found that a number of gay men tend to be drawn to the underworld goddesses such as Hekate.  I think this is because for many of us our spirituality is so strongly rooted in shadow work and transformation.  A friend recently pointed out to me that Bibliotheca Alexandrina is publishing a new devotional anthology to Ereshkigal, the Sumerian goddess of the Underworld.  I work a great deal with Ereshkigal and found this selection interesting since its so rare to find the Sumerian pantheon in neo-paganism.  The editor of the new anthology posted an announcement on her Live Journal so check it out for the details.  Submissions are due by June 21, 2009.  I intend to work on something to submit as well and will let you know if its accepted.

    Hi,

I added your blog to my blogroll. Mine is a blog for lesbian women and the GLBT friendly. It’s focus is lesbian dating, but I post about other issues as well -for example, today I posted about female alcoholism. If you would like to reciprocate - our link is below:

    Thanks,
