About Me
Greetings!
Welcome to my gay spirituality blog. I’m Julian Hill, known in the pagan community as “Ea”. I’ve been involved in pagan circles and groups for almost 20 years and involved in the queer pagan community for about 10. I’m a co-founder and co-facilitator of Between the Worlds, an alternative spiritual gathering for gay and bi men. I’m a big proponent of a pro-sex queer spirituality. I’m active in the leather community, where I stress the importance of bringing spirit into what we do. I’m also the founder of the Ordo Aternus Vovin, a ceremonial magkical order and spiritual path for gay and bi men.
I write, speak and give workshops on various aspects of queer spirituality. While I’m primarily neo-pagan and a ceremonial magician, I recognize that all spiritual paths have their truths. Each person must find their own road and walk it on their journey. As such, I’ve studied numerous religions, philosophies and mythologies. While my own experience is deeply rooted in neo-pagan or New Age thought, I often incorporate ideas from other spiritual paths including Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism and more. What you probably won’t find is a lot of resources for gay Christians. In my opinion, there are many other resources out there for gay Christians and I’m not the most qualified to speak to the experience of gay Christians.
I enjoy a lot of hobbies, particularly a number of arts and crafts. I often speak or write about the spiritual dimensions of crafts so you’ll likely find some of that here. As a facilitator of queer spiritual events and groups, I’m used to speaking with a pretty diverse audience so no matter what level of experience you have or where you are in your spiritual journey, I hope you’ll find something here to inspire you.
